A Smiley misinterpretation.

This morning I was in the kitchen preparing the lunches. I had asked the children to get dressed and could hear a quite involved game happening in the next room. I knew Little Miss was in her School clothes.

I called out "Little Mr you wouldn't happen to be getting dressed would you?"

He responded with a thoughtful "Ummm", a pause and then "Yes I'm Happy but what clothes should I choose?" ( that's his way of enquiring about the weather in these crazy hot and/or rainy times)

I didn't realise why he responded that way for a few seconds, why he started out by telling me how he was feeling then it hit me he processed my 'happen' as 'happy'. : ) and that made me Smile.

Imagine if we preceded everything we said with I'm happy, there sure would be a lot more smiley faces around.
