Cotter Dam

This week we headed out to Cotter dam on the afternoon I heard it had reached its new Capacity for the first time and was about to overflow. The Dam was quite tricky to photograph with any level of satisfaction but I did get some OK partial shots of the water falling with a total storage capacity of 76,200 million litres since the upgrade finished in 2013. That has me feeling quite secure in terms of water supply for now. We went to see the Dam but as per usual I was more enamoured with the wildlife and the canoodling Cockatoos were enchanting. I haven't been very active here but I have been working on something new that I will share soon, I'm also doing some behind the Scenes work on this baby to make it easier for me, it shouldn't affect what you see. x

Female Eastern Rosella

Eastern Rosellas have been visiting frequently for the last week or so. We had 12 in the back yard at once one day, which is the largest group of Eastern Rosellas I have seen grazing together. I only usually see them in two's or threes. I was pleased to get some good shots of these two yesterday afternoon as I usually find them quite flighty and hard to capture. This adult bird shone in the fresh green grass. The young bird blended in and my focus wasn't as sharp on it. About Eastern Rosella Eastern Rosellas are medium-sized colourful parrots with distinctive white cheek patches. It has a red head, neck and breast, with yellowish to greenish upper parts, a yellow underbody and a yellow-green to blue-green rum...

Authenticity

Male Golden Whistler with Dinner. Sometimes I want to write, but I just don't know what to write. Its not that I'm not Authentic in what I do share but I certainly censor myself. I'm an introvert, cautious about what I share and who I open up to. I don't want to draw too much attention to myself. My Children deserve privacy. Details of my Day to day life seem so mundane. I think though I have something that might be worth sharing. I really want to inspire people to be kinder to themselves, Breathe deeply, look around, connect with Nature and indulge their creativity but I'm just me. Can I do that? My Spirit is stirring. Change is afoot. I think there is a truth about to dawn on me. I can feel it, the energy is changing. Last week I was impatient, now I'm feeling a little more relaxed and gracious, waiting for things to be revealed and to let them settle on me. Everything in divine time.
